However, there is no compromise on fuel economy with the Xtronic transmission is rated at 7.4L/100km city, 5.9 L/100km highway and 6.7L/100km combined. The Versa offers better fuel economy on highway than the 2021 Kia Rio hatchback.
Another area where the 2021 Versa Sedan stands out is with its available Nissan Safety Shield 360, offering the most standard safety features in the sub-compact segment. The Versa S trim offers standard Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Rear Intelligent Emergency Braking. Features such as Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are available on the Versa SV and SR trims. Rear Intelligent Emergency Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are not available on the Kia Rio hatchback on any trim. In addition, the 2021 Versa safety features include 10 airbags, while the 2021 Kia Rio hatchback offers 6.
