If you're worried that your vehicle might be re-called or just simply want to check, Nissan Canada has a tool that allows you to do so based simply on your vehicle's VIN.
What to do if your vehicle is recalled.
If there's a recall on your vehicle, the good news is you've come to the right place. Our Nissan technicians will ensure that all issues are fixed so you can get back on your way in no time. If you aren't able to wait at the dealership while your vehicle is being serviced, we offer an exclusive shuttle service to take you where you need and pick you up when your vehicle is ready. What is a VIN?
A VIN is a Vehicle Identification Number. It is a 17-character alphanumeric identifier or a manufacturer’s serial number. Each character in the VIN number has a significant meaning. Together, they create a number that provides information about the vehicle and its unique history.
Where is the VIN located?
The VIN can be found on the VIN plate located on the driver's side of the dashboard just below the windshield (1). The VIN can also be found on the driver-side doorframe label (2), as well as on documents related to the vehicle's registration, title and insurance.
Safety recalls issued prior to 1994 are not included in the look-up tool. Recall information provided herein only applies to vehicles retailed in Canada. Please note that no Vehicle Identification Numbers include the following letters: "O", "I" or "Q". Please allow some time after your recall repair has been completed for the data specific to your vehicle to be updated.
